Services Online

Dear Church Family,

As many of you know, the past few days have held rapid changes to our lives as we have known them. As a nation, we are undergoing extensive measures to combat the current outbreak of the Coronavirus within our communities. These developments have affected all of our lives in various ways. These changes have caused us as a church leadership to be praying and daily reevaluating what 'next steps' the Lord would have us take as a church.

In seeking the Lord and wise counsel, we have decided to take a new approach to our church services. Due to recent guidelines shared by our President and the CDC regarding the Coronavirus and efforts to slow its spread, we will begin holding all our services online starting Sunday, March 22. In addition, because we will be streaming our services we will be going to one service at 10am just until we get through this difficult time. We will resume our regular service times when we get back to assembling together at the church building.

Our live stream service will have worship and Pastor Marc will continue to teach on Sunday through 1 Corinthians and our mid week study through the book of Psalms.
Please tune in on our website Sunday at 10am and Wednesday at 7:00 pm as we join together in spirit.

In addition, as we stream our services I would encourage you to treat the time as you would if you were in church. Please consider giving your tithes and offerings via online, as part of your worship, as you would normally do if you were in the church building.

The church offices will remain open and pastors on site for any ministry needs that we can assist you with.

All other events and Bible studies have been postponed until further notice.

Let’s continue to be in prayer for all of our governing officials and our church body at CCB and its staff, while keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus. The Lord bless you all. You are in my heart and prayers.

In His Service,
Pastor Marc Orozco

COVID-19 Update From CCB

Tues, March 17, 2020

Dear Calvary Chapel Brandon Church Family,

After much prayer, consideration, and counsel, we are planning to continue our usual Sunday morning and Wednesday services, along with our scheduled men’s, women’s, and youth studies. Along with what was stated in our previous letter, we have put into place additional measures to ensure a safe environment to worship in, taking the proactive step of canceling all food related activities until further notice, including the following:

1. Sunday food and coffee
2. Wednesday meals
3. Monthly fellowship lunches

In addition we are currently working on setting up live streaming for those of you who would be more comfortable viewing the church services from home during this unique time, as opposed to attending in person of which, we fully support your decision.

Only you know what choice is best for you.

Furthermore, if you consider CCB your home church, and if you choose to stay home for the time being, please keep in mind our online giving is available on the new website.

Let’s continue to be in prayer for all of our governing officials and our church body at CCB and its staff, while keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus. The Lord bless you all. You are in my heart and prayers.

In His Service,
Pastor Marc Orozco
Sat, March 14

Dear Church Family,

Many believers are uncertain about how they should respond to the news of COVID-19, also known as Coronavirus. We at Calvary Chapel Brandon take the health and well-being of every person seriously. We want you to know that our staff are being proactive and monitoring and receiving regular updates to ensure the health and safety of all the members of our church. Nevertheless, because we highly value our gathering together as believers, at this time, we are not suspending any of our services or childcare. We do however ask that you take the below three measures in light of the current situation:

1 - Be Practical

  • If you or your child is sick, please stay at home.
  • If you have had a fever within the last 48 hours, please avoid going to public places.
  • Wash your hands frequently or use hand sanitizers to prevent the spread of germs.
  • If you are elderly or have a compromised immune system due to other ailments, prayerfully consider whether or not you should attend services.
  • Avoid contact with sick people.
  • Make sure to cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue or in the crook of your elbow, not with your hands.
  • Avoid touching your face, eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
  • If you have any questions about your health, please see your physician.

To ensure the safety of those attending our services, we have the following practices in place:

  • Hand sanitizing stations are provided throughout the church facility and every children’s ministry classroom.
  • We regularly wipe down surfaces and maintain the cleanliness of our church campus.
  • Tithe boxes are located throughout the church for you to deposit your offerings without having to touch a common surface.
  • Our Children’s Ministry wipes down the tables, toys, and all surfaces with disinfectant spray after  service.
  • We pray for the sick and trust the Lord to heal according to His will.

God bless you, as you continue worshiping Jesus with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.

2 - Be Prayerful

Let’s continue to ask the Lord to keep this sickness from spreading and heal those who have it. Let us pray for our president and those in government authority, for God to give them wisdom in leading our nation. Pray for Calvary Chapel Brandon’s leaders as we continue to navigate this rapidly developing situation. Let’s pray that anyone that has the virus that they will be healed and be praying that we will 'not' live in fear but we will live in faith.

3 - Continue to Proclaim the gospel

People are scared and we have the opportunity to point them to the One who can give them peace; point them to the Prince of Peace! So let’s continue to use this as an opportunity to point people to Jesus.

Let’s keep being the Church and shine our light!
